The Eye Doctor® Antibacterial Hot & Cold Eye Compress is a reusable heated eye mask designed to relieve dry, sore, tired and gritty eyes. It provides a natural, drug-free way to soothe symptoms associated with dry eye disease, meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) and blepharitis.
When used as a warm eye compress, it gently heats the eyelids and supports the glands responsible for producing the oily layer of the tear film. This can help improve eye comfort and relieve feelings of dryness, irritation and grittiness. The warming action may also provide soothing support for discomfort associated with eyelid cysts, commonly known as chalazia.
The compress incorporates patented Sterileyes® technology, which creates an antibacterial shield on the fabric and is clinically proven to reduce potentially harmful bacteria by up to 99.99%. Its BodyBeads® self-hydrating filling produces soothing moist heat without requiring water.
The versatile compress can also be cooled to comfort puffy, itchy or irritated eyes associated with hay fever. Its cooling action may provide additional soothing comfort during headaches or migraines.
Designed for regular use, this reusable dry-eye compress can be used more than 200 times. The adjustable strap provides a comfortable, one-size-fits-most design. The treatment pack includes The Eye Doctor® antibacterial eye compress, two eyelid wipes and an instruction booklet with a massage guide.

Step 1: Heat the compress
- Heat The Eye Doctor® Essential Compress for 15-25 Secs in the microwave.
- Apply The Eye Doctor® Essential to your closed eyes.
- Fasten the strap around your head and adjust for personal comfort. Sit back and relax for 7 to 10 minutes.
Step 2: Massage the Eyelid
For the upper eyelids:
- Slide your finger in a downward fashion. This is to apply pressure from the eyebrow downwards to the eyelashes of the upper lids.
For the lower eyelids:
- Slide your finger upwards towards the eyelashes of your lower lids.
Step 3: Wipe the eyelids / lashes
- Wipe away any secretions using The Eye Doctor® Lid Wipes
- Keep out of sight and reach of children.The Eye Doctor® Essential MUST only be heated from room temperature.
- To distribute heat effectively and to prevent hot spots, shake The Eye Doctor® compress immediately after heating and before use to ensure even distribution of the BodyBeads® inside the mask.
- For Microwave use only. Lay The Eye Doctor® Essential flat in a clean microwavable dish. Do not place directly onto a grill stand. Take care when removing from the microwave. Do not overheat.
- Always check the temperature of The Eye Doctor® compress before putting it on your eyes by touching the heated mask to the inside of your wrist.
- Never wet or wash The Eye Doctor® compress. Wipe clean only with a damp cloth, do not use detergent. If it accidentally gets wet, leave to air dry & then use as normal. Clean only in accordance with the instructions.
